Gloomy Saturday..Just now had dinner

Hi all,
As i mentioned in my previous post, it rained yesterday.
Drizzled little bit in the morning. We thought it will be sunny as usual after wards, but it didn't happen.
Its gloomy till evening. I didn't like it so much.
As it's very dull today , i felt like eating something spicy.
I prepared Vegetable pulav and Potato egg curry ( both spicy) .
Vegatable pulav is prepared with rice and vegetables of course spices too. (Rice + Beans+potatoes+Carrot+spices) .
Just now had dinner. I had it little bit early as i felt really hungry after seeing those spicy dishes.
How is your day..What did you have in breakfast/dinner?

@prashu228 no this one was not biryani. We fried our chicken and added some vegetables to eat.

I will trade your meal for what I just had, eggs sunnyside up over toast with bacon strips along with a large dollup of fresh strawberry jam on toast with a cup of coffee. The clouds are hanging over us today but no rain. I could use more rain for the back yard plants and garden.

@prashu228 My breakfast usually consists of a couple pieces of toast. My husband rarely rolls out of bed before eleven.

@prashu228 it is going okay I guess. My son is pretty miserable doing cyber school tests today. It is pouring outside so we will be staying home. I am exhausted this morning after having a three day weekend.

@prashu228 I like some that aren't simple, but I just don't really do spicy for whatever reason I've never cared for it and not because I can't handle the heat but because I honestly don't like the taste. Tonight I wanted simple because I didn't want to cook after I just spent a couple hours doing dishes since it seems no one here believes in cleaning up after themselves.

I had a gloomy day on Saturday as well. I had eggs and toast for breakfast and that is it. I can't remember if it rained Saturday, but for a few days we have had big thunderstorms move in with lots of rain and Wednesday 5 tornadoes touched down in a couple counties around me.
I personally love the rain, as long as it isn't rainy for days and days, and if I don't have to do anything, so I can take whatever novel I'm reading and snuggle up to read.

@prashu228 My day is going great. I've started cleaning out my closet and reorganizing it so I can find and reach items I need. I'm taking a break now because there is so much stuff!

@MALUSE I am a potato person myself too. I love cheese and potato it can be made in so many ways either on its own or just browned off in a pan! I love it!

A beautiful day here--it is Memorial Day--recognizing all those who served the country in the Armed Forces--I spent the afternoon down at The Point--some people were swimming in the pool--others were out on boats or on paddleboards BUT a bunch of WW2 vets and a few of us from Korea plus 2 from Vietnam sat around and told the kids (grandchildren of residents) all the BS war stories we could come up with! And there was a BBQ going on in the community room--a warm, sunny, friendly day and showing respect not only to those gone but a couple of Gold Star Mothers (now in their 90s) who were the heroines of today!

Wow!
It seems yummy. Pullav is such a spicy and delicious food. It is one of my favorite dish when I m really hungry.I prepare pullav with potatoes, tomatoes,peas,nutries etcetera. It is called vegetarian pullav.I also like Chicken pullav.
