Say yes to the Dress

I'm watching Say Yes to the Dress. I watch it most every day, but sometimes I get mad because the brides bring in two handfuls of relatives, wedding party, and boyfriends. The bride will love a dress and the mother and others will stick their noses at the dresses. I've seen many brides crying because they let the entourage boss her around and sway her from the dress she loves. It's sometimes more bling and, a sash and a head dress that will help to sway the entourage to the bride's side. Pixabay image

That dress in the picture is quite beautiful.

I love Say Yes to the Dress and watch it a lot as well and that is also one of the things that make me so mad. I don't understand why the entourage doesn't understand that it is not their wedding and it doesn't matter what they want to see the bride in or what they would wear. It is the bride's day and if she wants a certain type of dress then they should just shut up and tell her she looks beautiful. The one's who refuse to pay for the dress because it isn't what they want the bride to wear are the worse kind of people. Do they really have to be so in control of other people's lives that they would take away their daughters/sisters/granddaughters happiness for something so petty? I have already informed my parents that I will be paying for my own wedding dress and would like to pay for all/almost all of my other wedding stuff. I will not have someone telling me I can't have something because they are paying for it and don't like it. It is my wedding and my day and I will have what makes me happy on it and if someone else doesn't like then they can just not come.

Exactly! That's how I feel. It's still on and one of the brides is crying her eyes out. Sometimes the consultants come to the defense of the bride. I've seen Randy get testy with a member of the worst criticized.

@OreoBrownie I couldn't work there and see them treat the bride that way. I feel like a lot of it might be scripted because the way they treat them sometimes is just crazy.

@celticeagle the only thing I find fault with the show is that the store doesn't put a limit on the size of the entourage.

I think that the bride should choose the dress unless she doesn't want to. What do you think?

A bride should always be able to choose her own style of dress. I have never seen this show Charlene..

It's a really good show. It runs on like a running show hour after hour.

@jstory07 I really do enjoy it, but, I get mad when there are too many people are posted posing on a dress when it is the brideb's pick.

My son's fiancée chose her bridal gown with her mother, her sister, and me. I was honored to be a part of that.

@DianneN I'm sure you were. There are just some that insult the dress like saying it looks like a cat threw up on it or something asinine.
