Good afternoon. We lost another great one. this is from New York time. Did not realized that he was ill for a time. I have the album. - ----- ------------------ ------------------------------------------------- Gregg Allman, a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, has died at 69. He was a principal architect of Southern rock. Saturday, May 27, 2017 3:56 PM EDT Mr. Allman had “struggled with many health issues over the past several years,” according to a statement on his official website. The band’s lead singer and keyboardist, Mr. Allman was one of the principal architects of a taut, improvisatory fusion of blues, jazz, country and rock that — streamlined by inheritors like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Marshall Tucker Band — became the Southern rock of the 1970s.

That's crazy! Were I have been in my life that I missed this great singer. But then again, there's just a lot of them that I didn't get to hear. Sad I only knew about him today.

My husband mentioned it this morning. He remembers all the bands and the names of the artists. Sadly, I don't. Sad news. By today's standards, 69 is young.

This is sad news, I liked their music, been listening to it since I was a kid. I didn't realize he has been ill, I guess some of them keep that to themselves. Jessica was my favorite song by them, if you haven't heard it before, check it out.
