Do you like Telemarketers?

Talking to someone on the phone when you are not expecting someone to call you is sometimes annoying, especially if you are in the middle of your working hours, or you are doing something is somewhat irritating, right? Asking you something you do not know you are looking for it, offering you deals that will consume your time.
Do you get a lot of calls from Telemarketers?
How do you handle them?

No I don't get those calls thankfully.
In fact, I am surprised that it is even a profession anymore as no one wants to talk with them sadly, still everyone needs a job..and sometimes I feel sorry for it.

I try to have patience with the legitiment calls (they're trying to make a living,) even if I don't want what they're selling. But the scamers drive me crazy.

We got so fed up with constant calls from scamers that we had our land line turned off. Unfortunately, the telemarketers have our cell numbers too.

They do call me a lot and I don't answer them. If I don't know the number I just don't answer it. If it is important they will leave a voicemail. Now with my internship, I answer all unknown numbers since I have to call so many people and don't know their numbers. If it is just a telemarketer I just hang up when they start talking.

I told the last one seeing as you have called about thirty thousand times before and people keep saying they are not interested thank you very much that means I am not interested either and bang went the phone in their ear.
At least they did not ring for a few weeks after.

We don't mind them so much seeing as we don't answer most of their calls these days @JustBhem

a customer service representative of a telcom almost always calls us up for upgrade. we here feel annoyed already.

Definitely a pet peeve of mine. I use my caller id to screen incoming calls, if it's an odd number or 800 number I don't answer. If I answer a telemarketer call I tell them I am on the do not call list and hang up. Don't envy their job too bad people have to earn a living that way. DB from the Jersey shore

NOBODY likes telemarketers unless it's a close relative or close friends. When I was back in the office I encounter a rude telemarkerter about buying a credit card.
