Taking a break from doing surveys

I just decided this earlier this week. I usually spend a good amount of time on various survey sites such as CashCrate and Opinion Outpost but I have decided to take a short break from doing them for a while. I have been on a frustrating "non qualifying" streak for a while and the ones I do qualify are just...mind numbing. I usually make around $50 or more per month doing them, but I think I will jist be taking a week or two break from them. Do you ever get tired of these / need a break also? I think I am going to focus the extra time on writing - I have about 6000 words only written ina book I started writing a while ago. Also I have about 15 untouched books on my book shelf to finish up. Also....I should spend more time outdoors since the weather is finally starting to look decent! Have you taken a Survey Sabbatical also? Hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

I can understand that. Some are definitely more interesting than others!

I know what you mean! I cashed out and quit several sites, including Opinion Outpost. OO used to be a great place to make money but they lowered their pay rate and as I got older it was hard to qualify. Have you tried Mint Vine or Springboard America? Those are two good ones. I get tired of surveys, too. There are a couple of others that I am waiting to get the minimum and than cancel my membership. I can't believe that a company expects me to spend 20 minutes answering a survey for just $.50 or $1. Surveys used to pay pretty good money but not anymore.

@maezee If you do Swagbucks, wait for an incentive there to join Springboard, they offer swagbucks sometimes to join it. Payout minimum is $50 but I usually hit that every couple of months. They are like every other survey site but I seem to have better luck qualifying there. I like it when Mintvine surprises me with 30 points for not qualifying! Are you a member of Pine Cone? I love that place but it's invitation only. The next time they are recruiting I will post it here. $3 per survey, every survey, and occasional product testing--you get to keep the product and get another $3 for the follow up survey.

@dragon54u nice. Thanks for the tip! I am inactive on Swagbucks, its just not really mu cup of tea I dont think. I have been meaning to join PineCone but every few months I check they are only looking for male survey participants to join. Ill have to check soon though. I agree with you about MintVine, I love the nonqualifying points. It adds up!

Thanks for your insight. I am mostly active on Opinion Outpost primarily. Some of the surveys can pay well - I did one the other day for $3.50! And I like the product testings I get sometimes on that. But lately I just have not qualified for much else on OO. I am a member of MintVine but dont seem to qualify for many there but I do like the site. I havent heard of this springboard site. Whats that one about?

Hi Maezee. Mind numbing is the word for them. I have to get away from them for sure.

No I have been taking a few surveys every week. I have been on a successful streak where I qualify for quite a few of them. It does go in spurts.

Yes! I must be in one of the low points of those spurts. Thats how it feels since other times I seem to qualify for one after another!

Thanks. Glad you had a good weekend. I also worked from Thursday on until Tuesday. Boo. Lol. It almost feels like the time attempting to qualify for a survey is better off put towards something else.

Everybody needs a break sometimes---it's our mind and body speaking to us to just simply enjoy and relax.

Most definitely! Especially as the weather gets nicer I want to take advatnage of that! But some months I am totally on a roll on my survey sites and seems like I am qualifying for everything. Not so much this month. Do you do surveys also?

I hear you, and it is always funny how these things always go backwards. You know these survey companies are multi-million dollar industries now and they never pay people more, and usually go the opposite of like you said. They pay less, or make the surveys much longer. Used to be a dollar for a 15 minute survey, now they are coming up a dollar for a 20 to 25 minute survey more and more often.

Exactly. Some pay a couple bucks which Ill take. Or invite you to be a part of focus groups that pay you in the form of a $40 Amazon gift card or what have you. I havent seen many of those lately though either. Hope you are doing well!
