Two More Appointments

Only two more physical therapy appointments left, hopefully. My shoulder feels a little better. My arm muscles are the ones that end up hurting from the therapy. I have a lot of home exercises to do. My husband already had the pulleys from his own therapy. Now I have the stretchy band to use too. And I might be getting a hand cycle for my arms too. I don’t think my shoulder or arm strength will ever be back to normal. But at least my range of motion is a little bit better. At least I can see under my arm now, although it’s still swollen up some.

I will have to look back to find out why you are in pain. I hope your therapy works and you get your mobility back.

@PainsOnSlate I have a frozen shoulder. And now I have a pinched nerve in my elbow on the same side.

I bought one of those 'bands' from the PT place. They told me if I ever feel the beginnings of sciatica again to start using it right away. So far it hasn't been needed thank goodness. Maybe after your two last sessions it will improve even more.

@AbbyGreenhill I sure hope so. But I must keep doing them or all the appts I went to were a waste of money and time. So I must make myself use the band and pulleys.

@Susan2015 Your situation is different. You are not 'healed' thoroughly yet.

@AbbyGreenhill It's taking a lot longer than I thought it would.

I hope your shoulder continues to recover. PT is never easy, but always worth it in the end.

@DWDavis It sure does hurt. And the arm muscles hurt more after.

@Susan2015 Are you using Icy/Hot or anything like it on the muscles after PT?

That's good news. I still have my therabands when I had physical therapy 2 years ago. But I don't need them. Slow and steady progress.

@KristinH It's very slow. My arm is still swelled up. Hoping at home exercises will take it down more.

@Susan2015 I hope so too. Your poor arm. Maybe aspirin and ice could help?

I had a bad shoulder for a long time and finally they said it was arthritis. But it works fine most of the time. I hope you have continued healing for yours Susan.

Its important to continue the therapy at home. It's been five months since I had surgery on my foot. I still do the exercises. If I don't, it starts hurting again. I really thought I would be past that by now. Sadly, I'm not.

@BettyB Yes, I thought my arm would be much better and almost normal after almost two months of therapy, but it's not.

Do not worry so much my friend because the muscle pain you are feeling right now is only temporary, just try to relax and do your home exercise little more each day..make it slowly hope you get well soon

Glad this physical therapy has some positive results for you. Hopefully, the home exercises will help too.
