Honestly I like both. Each genre has its right to exist Though, recently i started to notice my penchant for reading books. Reading makes me feel special, in sense that i am having intimate conversation with writer. My brain pushes my imagination for creation of new worlds,i `ve never been, of people i`ve never met, of times, i only wish to witness. Books indeed have more magic and freedom. What about You, my friends? What You prefer?

I do enjoy both for the most part. Although I might have a slight preference for the books.

@Julie555 I like what the movie brings, but there is so much more in a book.

@Julie555 _I like the special effects of the movies. And they're in color compare to my imagination which is mostly in black and white.

It depends on my mood. I love reading books, but sometimes I am too tired. In that moments, a movie might be better.

There is more in the book when compared to the movie. When you read a book.and them watch the movie you can see what's lacking. But however this is not the case for all movies. An example is the Harry Potter series and those movies are so well made

Agree, absolutely. I feel the same reading books. Movies are like ready made dinner, books are more like process of cooking

Books allow far greater detail and character development and use of imagination.

It depends on the book and the movie. The best I have read and seen so far was The Godfather

As a writer, I have learned to love both. Books are there for the details, there to tell the back stories that 120 movies cannot. Movies are there for the enjoyment of all, people can watch them together, where as a book it is more isolated. And movies are for the visual representation where as books it is all based on imagination. Both are amazing, I am a screenwriter so I prefer writing a movie compared to a book, but both are amazing in their own ways.
