A Beautiful Monday Morning-oops, its Tuesday

My summer flowers

When I was working, I loved the long weekends. Unfortunately the following week, although shorter, felt longer. The week following Memorial Day felt like the longest. It was the last week of school for the year. Students and teachers alike were ready for summer break to start. I’m no longer a part of the end of the school year countdown, but I’m still looking forward to summer. We have a couple of trips planned and the neighborhood pool is now open. I want to get in the water, but I have to wait until I finish my treatments. I’ll be finished with that in a couple of weeks. Do you have big plans for the summer?

Your bucket of flowers looks nice, bright and colourful. We have no huge plans for the summer. We're looking forward to the big 150 birthday celebrations for our country this year. Every community seems to be trying to outdo the next and you really have your choice of what to take in.

That's going to be an awesome celebration. It would be hard to decide what festivities to attend.

No plans at all for summer this year. Our outside hot tub is full and ready to be used, we like to spend holidays at home.

@BettyB Some people in the north use the hot tub even when it snows, but I am Italian, I am a Mediterranean I fear the cold.

@LadyDuck I can understand that. Here in South Carolina people use their hot tubs more in the winter than in the summer. It's not much fun getting into hot water when its hot as blazes outside.

I would love to have a hot tub. Here in SC is could be used year round.

I know you will be happy to get in the pool. My biggest plan this summer is my fourth book coming out. It's being planned for August. If it's before then, it would be great. My friend still has it. Then I need to look over her suggestions. She's kept me updated too. I'll be featuring it at the huge art festival - Art Street, which is the week before school starts in August. I also plan to have all my books on the table at the event, and do a book reading.

@BettyB I've made almost nothing as well, only what I sell myself, though I'm always hopeful. Do you write under your name or a pen name?

@just4him I published under my own name. Part of my disillusionment was due to the horrible editing job. I paid good money to have the books edited but when I read through them later, I was embarrassed by the number of grammatical errors that slipped through. It seems like someone who has a doctorate in English grammar should have caught all the mistakes. It cost a bundle to get it done.

That's awesome! I've published three and have another one almost ready. I'm not sure I'm going to publish it though. I like the writing, but I don't like the editing, publishing, and promoting that comes after it. I don't make enough money on them to make it worth it.

No, I don't have plans for this summer. Just enjoy my time here in Germany from day today. I just came back from long months spending in the hot weather of my home country Philippines. Enjoy your summer then.

Sadly they are not my flowers. I snapped this picture last summer while traveling. I love annuals because they bloom all summer, but they're too much work.

@responsiveme I use photos a lot in some of my other online work so I take a lot of pictures of other people's flowers.

No big plans for the summer no Betty. The only things I need to get done are some very important paperwork. I just hope it will not be too hot this summer, I hate the heat. Hope you have a great summer then coming up.

I hate the intense heat, but we replaced the AC last year so we'll be good.

No, no big plans. We have theater tickets for a few shows and are headed to the Berkshires for a 5-day getaway but other than that no much.

I'm glad those counting down days are long gone! We are planning a trip to Michigan to see our granddaughter compete in the New York Nationals and preparing for our son's wedding in October. We want to go to Japan after the wedding, but must wait a bit to see what's up in our scary world.

I'm usually better at planning but there are so many things up in the air that we just have a vague idea of a couple of short trips. We haven't locked anything down yet.
