When I was working, I loved the long weekends. Unfortunately the following week, although shorter, felt longer. The week following Memorial Day felt like the longest. It was the last week of school for the year. Students and teachers alike were ready for summer break to start.
I’m no longer a part of the end of the school year countdown, but I’m still looking forward to summer. We have a couple of trips planned and the neighborhood pool is now open.
I want to get in the water, but I have to wait until I finish my treatments. I’ll be finished with that in a couple of weeks.
Do you have big plans for the summer?

Your bucket of flowers looks nice, bright and colourful.
We have no huge plans for the summer.
We're looking forward to the big 150 birthday celebrations for our country this year.
Every community seems to be trying to outdo the next and you really have your choice of what to take in.

I know you will be happy to get in the pool. My biggest plan this summer is my fourth book coming out. It's being planned for August. If it's before then, it would be great. My friend still has it. Then I need to look over her suggestions. She's kept me updated too. I'll be featuring it at the huge art festival - Art Street, which is the week before school starts in August. I also plan to have all my books on the table at the event, and do a book reading.

@just4him I published under my own name. Part of my disillusionment was due to the horrible editing job. I paid good money to have the books edited but when I read through them later, I was embarrassed by the number of grammatical errors that slipped through. It seems like someone who has a doctorate in English grammar should have caught all the mistakes. It cost a bundle to get it done.

That's awesome! I've published three and have another one almost ready. I'm not sure I'm going to publish it though. I like the writing, but I don't like the editing, publishing, and promoting that comes after it. I don't make enough money on them to make it worth it.

@responsiveme I use photos a lot in some of my other online work so I take a lot of pictures of other people's flowers.

No, no big plans really. Hoping to get done with the cross stitch order I'm working on and get more into my Etsy shop.

No big plans for the summer no Betty.
The only things I need to get done are some very important paperwork.
I just hope it will not be too hot this summer, I hate the heat.
Hope you have a great summer then coming up.

No, no big plans. We have theater tickets for a few shows and are headed to the Berkshires for a 5-day getaway but other than that no much.

I'm glad those counting down days are long gone! We are planning a trip to Michigan to see our granddaughter compete in the New York Nationals and preparing for our son's wedding in October. We want to go to Japan after the wedding, but must wait a bit to see what's up in our scary world.

Michigan will be nice in the summer. A trip to Japan would be incredible.
