I am so unenthused that I forgot to bring my salad dressing to work. I am working a 12 hour day so I brought two spinach salads. That I usually douse in a delicious fat free dressing. Being in a rush I seemed to have forgotten this important piece. I am so not happy with myself this morning - lol! I guess Ill save the calories. Gah. Where is my brain? Do you ever eat dressingless salads? How is your Tuesday? Anyone else finding themselves a space case this morning?

I do sometimes eat salads without dressing when they have enough interesting stuff in. Zaxby's makes a blackened chicken salad that has lots of yummy stuff in it, and I've never had to use the dressing!

@maezee - It's called the "blackened bleu", and it has blackened chicken strips (they're not super spicy) and crumbled bleu cheese atop a nice salad with lots of different kinds of veggies and stuff in, served with a side of buttered Texas toast that is super delish. $10 for the salad and a medium soft drink, so it's slightly expensive for drive-thru food, but it's nice and filling and much healthier than most drive-thru stuff.

I like some greens with no dressing. Lettuce, celery and carrots have nice tastes of their own.

I used to prefer my salads without dressing, but now I need a dash of something.

@maezee Did you end up eating the salads alone?

I have had dressing-free salads but they are nicer with mayo and other dressings

It takes some getting used to. A squeeze of lemon can do the trick and sprinkling of fresh herbs!

Not usually no. I am sorry you forgot your dressing. The only thing I might do is eat a carrot raw.

What flavor of dressing do you usually use? Or do you switch it up?

I switch it up but usually do anything fat free. Ranch, blue cheese, raspberry vinagrettes and catalina dressings. I wiuldnt mind eventually just using lime or lemon instead of dressing though. What do you prefer?
