When Was The Best "You"?

We all have a period in our lives when we feel like we were at our best. Best body, best attitude, best love, best work experience, etc. Mine was during the 80's. I had just said tootle loo to my third horror story. I had invested well while working at the telephone company and I lived that year on it. The summer of 1986 was probably the best of my adult life. I weighed 110, jogged 7.5 miles daily and was single and ready to mingle. I went to the horse races on Wednesdays, danced, drank a bit and whooped it up. My daughter and I wore the same size clothes and went out shopping vigorously and with purpose. When was/is yours?

Sounds like a terrific time in your life. Thinking about it, the best me is right now. Yes, I'm a bit over weight and I'm working on that, but my best attitude, my best everything but weight is right now.

Valerie, I am glad you feel you are the best you can be now in your life and I believe you will lose the weight you want to lose and can add that to the best you can be.

If I'm going to look at the time when I was healthiest and looked my best, it was probably when I was in my early 20s. But if it's when I was happiest, it's when I was dating and then married my late husband. My years with him were the best years of my life for a lot of reasons, and these years since his passing have been the worst.

@celticeagle Especially when that person is way too young and in perfect health. Sometimes life really is not fair, but I accept things the best I can and keep going.

The early 90's....I was thin, had a very well paying job, a sports car, beautiful condo and more self confidence that ever before.

My best was back when I was 18, 19, 20. I weighed a mere 103 lbs. I had long black hair and didn't know I was skinny and beautiful.

its a toss up. at 15 yrs old, i was in perfect shape. had a boyfriend everyone was envious of, great grades in school without much effort and had lots of fun. then in '95, i met the love of my life perfect man, still looked great, had a perfect job i loved, went to Vegas and other fun vacations almost every weekend. everything turned up roses till he passed away in 2002. then things started down hill still not stopping. lol

I was 19 and married to my first love. It didn't last long but he took me literally everywhere and those are the best memories I have, it was around 6 mos long the time that we were going places.

I've had best moments like my children and grandchildren being born, sailing with my dad, going to my favorite lake - Huntington Lake, CA - since it makes me feel "home". I've been going since I was born. Going to Kauai for a week all by myself after I filed for divorce in 2010, buying my first vehicle by myself without input from anyone, and so many other moments.

Yeah. You are really enjoying your life. Life means yours...Well, keep it up. There are nothing that comes along with us. Sweet memories and the entertainment we have. Sweet memories of help and human relationships we build up with people around us. Even they do not come with us when we die. But, the beauty of them is that they actually increase our mental strength and our attitude towards life. Good, I liked you. very much,

@celticeagle The best years of my life was from 1995-2007, family wise, career wise and money-wise. It was the best of time really wherein you are on top of the game and in your prime. Oh how I really miss those times.
