Well, That Did Not Last Long

I have been wanting to get outside for a week, being cooped up in the hospital for four days and then the rain here for a few more I was about to go crazy, I needed my Vitamin D from the sun! Wednesday mid day the sun came out, I moved Harley the unhappy Beagle out to a new spot but a good way from the house under the shade of the oak, I took Roscoe and put him in Harley`s old spot, both on leads because I do not have time to chase them down or to fight Roscoe out from under the house. I got the push mower out and I mowed the high grass around the back and front door, the small back yard that the dogs share ( its not small when you mow it!) I came in and took a break, got the keys to the rider that my Uncle just fixed, new belts! I did as he told me about letting it warm up and I began to mow the lawn, happy woman for sure! After I got one small section mowed it died, I cranked it and did another round, it died. Well, that went on till it finally did not crank anymore. With each crank I got a backfire. It still has gas but it was getting low so I will try adding more gas before I give up. However the mower had to sit in the middle of the lawn all night, I usually always put it in the shed. I got the push mower back out and I mowed for a couple hours. Walked the dogs and took them back to their nice mowed area, both were good and never barked one time last night. Tony said something I liked, " I think its time to buy a new riding mower" I just hope he was not thinking out loud! Soon I am off to work. How is your day going?

We have a riding lawn mower. The tires are flat. Hubby has to tinker with it to get it going smoothly. Our landlord takes care of the lawncare. It is included in the lot rent. I would prefer to mow our own lawn though. He really doesn't do a great job. I am heading outside after I finish responding to your post. Need to get my garden ready.

@andriaperry mine needs a professional gardener, but I don't have the money for one. So, I'll do the best I can.

Lawn mowing is indeed a back breaking job and that only when the machine works. (lol)

We believe in doing things the easiest way - and a new mower sound like it is in order.

I think you really need a new mower now, this one is not going to last long.

We used to have a riding mower and an electric mower. With two acres of lawn, my hubs decided it was much more advantageous to hire a lawn service. Now he spends his time at the gym.

Good deal, but I cannot afford to hire it out. I am thinking it would be cheaper to have cement poured

Today is going well so far, I have a couple of things to do around the house hopefully before the rain starts, but i dont know if that is going to happen. I made a homemade pizza for lunch and we just started eating. Nothing too exciting today.

Our dog has started barking a lot at night - and it disturbs my sleep.
