Do you accept Facebook friend request from people that you do not know?

Whenever I received a request from a person, I double check who is he or she. I already have too many friends in Facebook and most of them are my relatives, colleagues, and students. If I don't know the person sending me a friend request, I do not accept them.

Very smart. I have not been happy when I have accepted strangers.

Same here. I noticed some that I added but did not even send a message to me.

I did a separate account but it is quite difficult for me to always check those other accounts. I get lazy opening them.

I don't accept from people I don't know, it could be someone who wants to spam your friends.

@annierose For me it is a privacy issues, because I don't want my ex's family spying on my page.It could be one of them making a page. Most of these people that send requests have only a few friends on their page, seems odd to me.

If I don't know the person then I won't accept their friend request. If I don't know you in person or have talked to for awhile on another form of social media then I will not accept you. I only have two people on my friend's list on Facebook of people I have never met in person but we have been friends online for years and they are who they asay they are. I have skyped with them and had phone calls with them. One of them only lives like two states over from me but the other one lives almost all the way on the other side of the dress.

Well, that's a good thing.. Making friends with strangers is quite risky. We have to make sure they are really good persons with good intentions.

It's wrong to accept friend request of strangers.
Sometimes we found mutual friends between us, as we ask these mutual friends, i can't beleive they also have no idea about this.
We should check all possibilities or we can chat with them before accepting the friend request.
