Back from vacation, edited to correct format, poem to follow after I get todays rolling-
Anyways, rules are as follows, write a poem in any style using the five words that I
give you. Write it in one sitting or in under an hour (only to quash your inner editor, rules are loose there). Add it here, OR link in a comment so we can enjoy each other’s' poems. The words can be in any plurality or tense. Today’s words are: trip, fall, accident, fly, land.
Mine is as follows:
A trip can be to fall from high to low,
Or it can mean to a place that you go.
Fall can be a season where crisp the nights are,
Or it can be a descent from high to down far.
Words can be confusing, having more than one meaning.
They can change based on context, a way of weaving,
The language around one’s needs as the words from the mouth fly,
Which is, btw, both an action and a bug with weird eyes.
Land can be a place, or an action too,
I wonder how much of this everyone knew.

I hope you are having a blast!!
Tripping over my frantic pup,
falling into my lack of grace
its no accident that she is who she is
this little dog insists on flying even if solo
leaving me to pray that the land beneath the grass is benign.
