Waiting For The Dryer To Be Done

Come on, hurry up dryer. I need to get a short nap and I am just waiting for you to be done, so I can fold the towels and get my rest. I am getting sleepier and sleepier by the minute. I am just wondering if my new antibiotics are doing this to me. What a nuisance to be sleepy like this. I will be back later after my snooze and hope that I will feel more alert. As it is no fun to feel "almost non functional".

Take your nap and fold the towels when you wake up. I do not like meds that make me sleepy or hyper.

You wouldn't believe how many times I have taken a great nap waiting for the washer or dryer to finish its cycle. The steady hum of either machine can often be relaxing enough to put me to sleep. Fortunately for me, I can take 10-15 minute power naps and feel totally refreshed. So, getting in a power nap while waiting for the dryer to finish is a perfect win-win for me!

You are very lucky that you can take power naps. It is a thing that I have difficulty with.

@marlina I'd be in a heap of trouble if I couldn't take power naps. I am such a night owl, that I always stay up late, yet I have to get up at 4am to go to work. I'd die if it weren't for power naps.

It seems I need a morning nap after I get back from swimming. So I know how you feel.

@just4him That makes sense! Some nights are so bad for sleep, it is hard to function properly the day after.

@marlina It is very relaxing, but the reason I need a morning nap after is because I can't get more than four hours of sleep a night, so I make up the rest when I get home. Yesterday was a four hour nap because I didn't even get four hours of sleep. Today I didn't go to the pool. I was so busy yesterday my knees are very painful this morning, so I'm giving them a day to recoup. I also had a decent night's sleep, so I might not take a morning nap today.

@marlina , I get so impatient for the washing machine to finish loads, especially on a very busy day. A dryer can seem even slower. I hope you are feeling better by now.

When I go downstairs to do laundry, waiting for the dryer is always my least favorite time. The washer only takes 30 minutes, but the dryer is 60 minutes. So I usually go for a walk during that time to make the time go by faster! lol

A nice little nap feels good every now and then. I have some errands to run after I go to the clinic but I will probably nap when I get home.

I had planned to iron the clothes today, but there is a strong thunderstorm, I will wait. I do not like to have something electric in my hand during a storm.

I am waiting for eggs to boil so that I can leave the kitchen and sit in the living room where it is much more comfortable.
