I am going to explain my absence here today by letting you know I took hubby to the Emergency Room today. He is staying overnight. I will go stay at my sister's house, but for now hubby wants some Library books, so I am taking them. He may have had a TIA. Those of you who pray, please remember him.

I hope he will be alright, but I don't know what a TIA is. All the best to him, and to you of course.

@allknowing @Corbin5@jaboUK I am sorry, I try not to do so, but when I put that discussion up I was hurrying back, not knowing for sure when I would come back. Usually I try to explain. We do all have the ability to look things up when curious, though.

There is a tendency here to liberally use acronyms. I too check up.

I will remember him in my prayers My mom had a TIA and other than never remembering that hour period, she had no lasting effects. I hope it is the same for him.

He remembers waking up with a numb hand, going back to sleep to see if it got better, so he will have forgotten those two hours. He does not seem to have memory problems, but his hearing seems more sketchy today.

@GardenGerty I think it will reset itself with a little time but in our case, we took it as a warning and were much more watchful.

Prayers going out for both of you. I had a mini-stroke when I was in my early 30's. I had all kinds of tests after and my eyesight actually improved. I had some lingering issues with my left hand but after a while that all cleared up.

Yes, we were at a quandry as to the fastest care, but opted for the place that already has records and is where his primary care works.

It certainly is, and my daughter recently reminded me that I have spent most of the last twenty years taking care of sick people. Whew. I feel sorry for him, though, because up until now he believed he was indestructable.
