I have been a fan of the shopaholic books by Sophie Kinsella. I have read them all starting with Confessions of a Shopaholic. There have been a number of books in the series. Most of them have had me laughing out loud throughout the course of the books. The current one Shopaholic to the Rescue is not like that. The heroine was a bit out of sorts throughout the book and the book seems to be a miss too. There are some funny moments, but by and large, the book is a disappointment. I wonder if this will be the end..? Do you ever feel disappointed by some of the books by your favorite authors?

I have never read Sophie Kinsella. I used to like Stephen King and his books of the past years have been poor so I have stopped reading him.

Oh I know what you mean about King, most of the recent books, have alot of extraneous dialogue that is not integral to the plot. He is obviously trying to inflate his word count. I have felt like yelling...just tell the story!

I didn't like that book at all. I've been over the series for awhile now. All of the books are like the same with the exception of this last one. The series needs to be retired.

I think the books are hysterical, but this last one just isn't very funny.
