Benefits of buying and using Tablets now a days?

Hi, In our family, we have been discussing whether we buy Tablet. We do know some plus and some minus but thought of putting a question here. So, as per you people, what are the advantages and disadvantages of buying and using Tablets now a days?

We have tablets and mobile phones, sadly to say rarely we use the tablets because mobile phones are more preferred than the bigger gadget.

We have tablets too I didn't like it (slow internet surfing, wifi/cellular both no good, etc.). It's only good for gaming Phones are better or I must say iPhone (soft touch) is a lot better. O+ phones are ok too (strong signal).

It is more handy than carrying a laptop or a notebook if you still want to write or read your blogs/sites. I use it for playing some games when I am bored.

I dont like tablets, i prefer mobile phones that has 5-6 inches screen size.

@Elisa1234 Its humid but we do get rains in between. May was very hot and even till early June we had a heatwave when venturing out in dry heat of 43 degree C plus was very very tough!
