I PANICKED.

I was pushing quite hard during the weekend trying to complete an order for a shipment of dolls to my overseas market. Therefore I haven't been here much, but Sunday night when I checked in, - after an hour or so, I saw flashing lights at the corner of my eye. I panicked, shut of the computer and went to bed. Have you ever experienced anything like that? - and could eye strain be the cause, or something more serious? I haven't checked my eyes in years , and I do use them a lot - drawing , painting, handmade dolls, writing , reading when I get the chance - and of course Mylot. Pictured above is one of the dolls I worked on this weekend.

Your doll is beautiful! That being said, you better get yourself to an eye doctor. There are things within the eye that you shouldn't ignore.

I really didn't want to hear that. - but I haven't gone to a doctor in quite awhile - so I really should.

@Kandae11 So sorry, but only you are responsible for your health. My eye doctor told me to call him immediately if I ever experienced any sudden change or noticed anything unusual happening to my eyes. Even floaters.

Thanks - except for the clothes and the body forms for which I use a sewing machine - everything else is done by hand.

@marguicha I get a better price in my overseas market. Here when I sell to the tourist shops they want a certain price so they can put a big mark up.

I got that once but I assumed it was the medicine, but then I was not on the medicine and got it again. I have no idea what it is to tell you the truth. It was sort of scary though and I also panicked. However I have not had it now in a while.

I think you were just already tired. Sometimes, we should try to rest ourselves most especially our eyes. To rest the eyes, we should gaze at the green plants. After a while, your eyes will be refreshed.

Can't imagine what the flashing lights could be. I thought you meant there was a police care or ambulance and you could see the lights flickering through a window in your house or something. Nice doll.

@Kandae11 - Oh! In that case you should have panicked. Hope everything is alright. I need my eyes examined as well. Although I'm not seeing flickering lights. Things are just blurring for me. It's the reason I don't sew any more. When I was in high school, I use to sew for my friends and earn extra money that way. Can't do it any more. I'm thankful to God I can still type a little bit, so I can at least write and earn money. Tell me more about your dolls. You said "overseas". What are your target markets? Are they available for purchase in the US?

I never saw flashing lights but when my eyes are strained i start getting little whitish spots under my eyelash. You need to relax your eyes. Have you experienced this again

I am hoping it is just eye strain - because I really overdid it this weekend. After a good night's sleep, so far it hasn't bothered me again.

@Kandae11, That doll is so pretty, love the beads in her hair. When I have been reading or on my phone or pc too long, I get this bright white kaleidoscope, where if I look at someone, I can't see their nose or chin. Once I rest my eyes it goes away. I hope your eyes are rested now.

Your doll is pretty cool.I think you strained them too much as you were pushing for the shipment. A little rest for the eyes will do

When I see the flashing lights then I know a migraine is coming on! Not a good thing. Good luck on getting those orders out. I have one I'm working on that doesn't need to be delivered until Thanksgiving but if I don't start devoting more time to it, it won't be done by then.
