We attend an international event

On Sunday 4th June we attended the Tattersalls’ Horse Trials at Fairyhouse in Ireland. We were particularly interested in watching the cross-country section and trying to get some good photos. The weather was iffy and it was difficult to know what to wear. Luckily with the motor-home we could wait till the last minute to decide what to wear.
Even though we took our big jackets we left our jumpers behind so we froze once or twice for five minutes or so but also nearly cooked with the sun came out.
They had some incredible jumps which really taxed the courage and skill of the riders. Overall in the main event, the French team were triumpant followed by the British and Irish teams.
There was lots going on at the course with some cute dog events and lots of stalls with some very interesting articles for sale. I was very good and didn’t buy anything. You can’t declutter if you keep buying stuff so I contented myself with taking photos.
Until I download mine off the camera here is one of the best of Vince’s.

how fun! 'n cold, then hot, lol. great picture! no doubt y'all've many more from such'n event. proud 'f ya fer not buyin' nothin'. i'd prolly'd the need to lock the hubs'n the motor home to prevent such.

It's a massive industry. I should think it's just as popular in the US although perhaps show-jumping is more so.

This was the top group of riders. All the lower grades had done their courses before.
