I Rescued A Beautiful Turtle Today!

We went to town today ... on the way back it began pouring rain. It looked so pretty. Skip loves to drive in the rain ... it makes him feel at peace.
We got close to home and I saw something ahead on the road. I told Skip there was a turtle to stop! He stopped, I jumped out with my umbrella.
He (could be a she 
was beautiful! The colors on his shell were so vivid, vibrant. I picked it up .... took it in the direction it was traveling in ... set it down in a little puddle of water.
The turtle was very lively ... he had his head and feet out to walk. He even hissed at me. I laughed. What a wonderful feeling to know I saved a turtle!

You must save turtles too! Skip and I saved a huge turtle last month ... somebody wanted to shoot it! We said no way!

@prashu228 @prashu228 ... sometimes there are people who want 'to shoot anything' ... I don't even know if they've ever learned respect for animals, wildlife. Skip and I aren't like that ... we try to save animals we see in distress .. or in harm's way.

Oh yes, I picked it up with both hands! He didn't try to bite me. Years ago ... I picked up a huge turtle ... a snapping turtle ... it tried to bite me turning his head all different ways ... I meant to save him and I did! I had to be so careful ... it was hard but, I did it! It's a wonderful feeling afterwards to know I did good!
