Daisy is home from surgery

Dog, surgery

My dog Daisy had her surgery today to fix her torn ACL. She did just fine but she was very out of it when we picked her up. Poor doggy didn't know what planet she was on! She looks rather pitiful as the picture shows. She did get a nice yellow cast that looks great for summer! The next week wil suck since she's not supposed to run or jump...give her two days to recover and she will be all over the place.

Yes! She started crying about 30 minutes after this due to pain. Luckily we were given pain meds for her.

Maybe if you could crate her for a while, poor lil Daisy. Used to be vets would give ya something to keep em groggy so they could heal but anymore they don't. I hope she's in the pink in no time.

We don't crate our dogs. Someone will be home with her 24/7 for a week though. Thankfully her pain medication makes her sleepy and slows her down a bit.

I don't either but I thought if you were at work it might slow her down @Lolaze I'm glad she'll have company through the week, that's much better than a crate.

Awww, poor baby. Is she a chihuahua? They have issues like that. My brother's baby had to have a ligament repaired when he was a puppy. He's doing great now.

I am glad her surgery went well. She does look sad but her little cast is pretty cute on her. I hope she recovers quickly.

I am sorry to hear that. Pets may not understand why they need to have a surgery, but I think they will know it's good for them. I hope Daisy will get well soon.

Aw, poor Daisy. she looks cute. I hope you can keep her activity down. I know that is hard.. I had the same instructions after my dog got neutered. ugh that is very hard to do.
