Two Things Are Happening Today

June 6 is a day for two important happenings. On June 6, 1944 (73 years ago today) was D-Day, the Normandy Invasion of the Allies that led to the Victory over the Nazis in World War Two.
Also, on June 6, 1937 , my dear Father was born. He is still alive today and is celebrating his 80th Birthday today! We don't have an opportunity to actually be with him and my Mom today due to distance and work schedules, etc. but we will be calling them later on today.
