Today we drove to Henderson, NC to take care of business. Skip wanted to stop at the Waffle House to drink coffee, eat an omelet. We were getting out of the pickup when ... we heard two gunshots. We stopped, looked at each other. I told Skip let's just go ... the gunshots were close by. I didn't want to be eating omelets, drinking coffee and some gunman run inside! Skip said to get back in pickup ... I did. He backed out of the parking space ... as we were driving away I happened to look back. I couldn't believe my eyes ... I saw a sign on a business ... 'Funeral Store Supplies'!!! Skip thought it a sign for us to go on elsewhere to eat. I did too. Wasn't that strange? We ended up at Wendy's. Skip ordered a combo ... I ordered a half salad ... Strawberry-Mango Chicken Salad with Honey Citrus Dressing. Oh my ! It was just wonderful! That is one of the best salads I've ever eaten!
