Gazania flower

I hope to bring hubby home today. We will likely stop to buy him a cane, and perhaps a shower chair. Sleep was short for me, I woke up at 4:30. Eating breakfast made me nauseous. I have had a flower or two bloom while all of this is happening. I have added the image of the gazania. Life needs flowers.

Until he meets with a cardiologist we do not know of any medicine except a baby aspirin. His diet is good, his blood work shows that it is.

He had a stroke on the left side of his brain. It has affected the movement and function on the right side of his body. While running tests they uncovered some heart problems. He has Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

Every victory lifts his spirits. He dresses himself, buttons buttons, fastens zippers and ties shoe strings. He got excited that he could cut his food with his right hand.

When I picked out a cane at the grocery pharmacy a nice young man helped me size it up. The floral department had provided them with stems of flowers to give to customers. I have mine in a vase..

It is a good idea for your husband to use a cane for a while. Patients shall be very careful not to fall down. He is getting better and I am glad to it.
