a ood plot and cript and it could work - stretching every full season plot to exactly 24 hours was stretching credibility though

The show was a success for a lot of years. I would have been tired of playing the same character, so understand it was time for him to move on.

@arthurchappell Donald Sutherland, his father certainly worked long hours, so I wasn't surprised Kiefer was great on 24. His Mom and Step Mom are actresses also.

@Fishmomma just happens that every case took exactly the same length of time and he had the stamina to go without sleep throughout each

Show originally ran on Fox Network November 6, 2001 – May 24, 2010, then brought back May 5, 2014 - July 14, 2014 called Live Another Day. The most recent Legacy didn't have Kiefer and he was in all the other seasons.

I watched the early seasons of the show and was surprised to see how many years 24 aired.

Just like what you are saying, I would only tune into it if Kiefer Sutherland returned. He made 24 a great show.
