I'm Going To Block You ... I Can't Be Friends With You Anymore

This morning after taking The Dukester for a ride in the pickup truck ... I came back ... and connected The Dukester's tie-out cable so he could run in/out of his kennel instead of being at the picnic table where I was going to let him stay for a while. I wanted him at his kennel so, he could be where the big fan was. I had rolled down the silver shade curtains on two sides of the kennel to block the sun. Air can flow through them, also. Anyway ... I made all good for The Dukester before I came inside. I came inside very happy because Duke was happy from his ride. I turned my computer on ... and immediately ... I was stunned by the words I saw from a short-time Facebook Friend. She said she could no longer be my Facebook Friend because she felt I was mistreating The Dukester. She went on to say why she thought I was mistreating The Dukester. It hurt me very much. The lady was very nice all the way until today ... I don't know what happened to her. All my Facebook Friends were upset at what she said ... I post photos daily and update on The Dukester and Kissy and Camie. I don't hold it against the woman and tonight it is water under the bridge. I know it isn't true ... and feel something in the woman's life caused that to happen. I hope all will be good for her. Tonight I don't feel the sting from the words she wrote to me: 'I'm going to block you ... I can't be friends with you anymore'.

That's too bad but at least she told you why. Maybe you two will resolve these issues and she will once again be a friend.

I hope she gets over it @GrannyGee doesn't she remember Duke's situation before you took him in?

Yes ... I am sorry she didn't talk to me. Sometimes people do that in life. I hope she goes on and all will be good for her.

@rebelann No ... she wasn't a FB friend then. She has been there for a short time but, knew I rescued him. It is puzzling why ... she got so upset with me. I can't be mad at her since she cares about animals so much ... I am like that. Maybe she'll come back one day.

@GrannyGee After saying that I still have a hard time deleting friends even when they're spiteful.

With what you wrote, it seems the woman misunderstood you @GrannyGee . There's really nothing much you can do with her.

@allen0187 I think she just must have misunderstood ... I would have been so happy to have told her. Maybe she just wanted to believe what she wanted to ... if so, I couldn't change her feelings toward me no matter what.

I'm sorry she got upset ... she hadn't been friends long on Facebook. I think she may have thought I kept my dog that I rescued closed up in his kennel when ...it's just the opposite. I like her for sticking up for animals ... I am caring just like that, also. I'm so sorry she didn't understand that I always keep the door open on the kennel so my dog can come in/out during the day. Anyway, it's sad ... I actually liked the woman. Thank you for your words.

She's the one being judgemental, well, at least that's one out of so many fake people out there. It's your gain actually you have that one out of your FB life for good.

@GrannyGee that's just not right you don't need to apologize because she just care for animals too much with out even knowing the truth first.

You are right ... it's also sad she didn't talk to me to know I wouldn't ever-ever mistreat an animal. I respect she cared so much. I couldn't tell her and for that I am sorry.

You don't need "friends" like that @GrannyGee No one knows more than you all you do for The Dukester and the other dogs you lovingly care for, but many of us do read your posts here and see on Facebook how important these dogs are to you.

@GrannyGee We have had criticism from some about our pets (why are there that many and why do you spend so much, etc.) but we don't care about such ones. We would not turn these pets over to another life with anyone else. They are our responsibility now, just like your dogs are yours. What would have happened to your dogs if you had not taken them @GrannyGee I shudder to think-

@PatZAnthony I don't know what ... yes, I do know what would have happened to The Dukester and to Camie. No one cared about them but, us. Now ... they are happy and life is all about them. Kissy never had to live like them. We have had him since a little 6-week old baby ... and he's never suffered like Dukester and Camie. Thankfully ... we rescued them from the horrible life they were in. They are our responsibilities now, you are right.

I'm not certain what she thought ... I do understand about being protective of animals ... I am the very same way. That's why I can't be upset at her. It hurt me for her to get a bad opinion of me when I do everything possible to be good to my Pups. She dropped me as a friend. It felt bad ... and it's okay. I'm just sorry she'll never know that I really am a very good person.

That was very bad of your facebook friend. No idea what she has been thinking but she has decided to block you with no valid reason at all

You know how it is ...when you know you are a good person and a person comes along and thinks badly of you. I'm sorry she didn't get to know me to know better.

Everyone has their own opinions on what's right and wrong, doesn't necessarily mean something happened to her for her to think the way she does. Least she was woman enough to tell you why she was blocking you. As not everyone will be mature enough to. And glad the words and block arent hurting.

Yes. I have to respect she cares so much about animals to get upset ... I'm sorry she never knew me well enough to know I do everything in my power for my babies. I am sorry she got upset and didn't talk to me. I would have understood. She was nice ... and I'm nice, too.

What was the reason? being tethered? I have to keep mine safe and if that is the only way they will be tied out, Like you they do get off and run and play with me. Dont worry about her, you are better off without all that drama! I think you are a wonderful person!

Thank you. I only tether him when I keep the kennel door open during the day. I don't want him 'trapped' inside not to come outside when he wants to. I think she thought I kept him closed up where he couldn't see out and such. I can't be mad with her because I understand when it comes to loving animals. She didn't know I don't do that and when I roll his curtains down ... it's just on the sides the sun is hottest.
