My mom attended to some classes like painting in her spare time. There are classes like that for the elders her. I fully support it because it will make her retired life full of interests. Last night she asked me about Wechat pay and Alipay which are the popular online payment methods here. Then I start to learn she has to pay for her class by the mobile phone. It will be difficult for her to deal with it. So I told her I would pay for it for her when I was home tonight. It is very amusing that the payment time also changed as 8pm. Perhaps the staff also realized it was a challenge for the elders to pay for it online. They have to wait for children to be home to pay it

Glad you are able to do little-little things for her. Once my dad also told his friends that he can do transactions in net banking easily. When they asked how? he told that i taught him. My mother told me about this later :) It felt great :)

I am not a patient person to teach others. This is why I prefer to do it for my mom. Besides, I am afraid she can be fooled or cheated when she knows how to pay online.

It's great that your mother is attending some classes. I think learning new things and meeting new people is a great way for older people to avoid feeling lonely in later years. It seems silly to have them pay by mobile though!!

Last time I bought a paiting book online for her since she can't find it in the bookstore. I also bought a copyboard online for her to draw. She shall be proud to her classmates because her daughter can get her everything she needs

You are a good daughter, you will be blessed when it's time for us to grow old. We also live with my mother and I have to fulfill all her requests as much as possible.

I think it is better for the elders to have their own interests. And therefore it will keep them full of energy. Good mood shall bring good health. I prefer her to spend money on her interests rather than the medical costs.

It is because many elders know that they can ask to their children or grandchildren. Those like my husband and I who have no one to ask for, learn by themselves what to do.

Nice. At least your mom will not get bored just staying at home because she has something to do.

I really would like to be involved in that kind of classes. But I'm out of budget. Sad

Usually the classes for the elders are not expensive.
