A cute visitor yesterday morning.

I guess they can trash a place.. but they do wash their hands. lol

@minx267 You are right, they are very clean, but they do not clean behind them.

Oh, he was terrified.. you would have been safe. he ran up that tree because my dogs scared him they smelled him in the yard and started sniffing around where he was... next thing i hear him scurrying up the tree! I ran in the house to grab my camera!

@ridingbet Well, they eyes didn't glare until I flashed the light of the camera.. but maybe if you shined a flashlight they would glow and scare you... We have plenty of raccoons for you here.. Many are hit and killed by cars on the road. :( since I am in the city they are a much rarer sight around here and this is only the 3rd time I have caught one on film that has been in one of my trees since I have been in the house for the last 15 years. I don't mind if they visit once in a while though.

@minx267 and the eyes... look at the eyes...if i see that glaring pair of eyes in the dark, i might get scared, because i don't know if that is a ghost, or just the eyes of a cat. no raccoons here, by the way!

Yea , that was from my flash.. it was 5am and still kind of dark outside.. so I had to turn on the flash in order to get a good picture of him

They are adorable.. with those cute little hands.. This one was small. so I am guessing under a year old.

I don't see them around my yard very often at all. I considered yesterday a lucky day!

@Lupita234 Yes I am sure that is what he was doing before my dogs scared him.

They were not glowing until I used the flash on my camera. It was still pretty dark and he was in the shadows.

LOl. ha I bet. and then he wanted to explore. should have left a trail of food going OUT of the garage.. probably would have followed it... But then he might have came back every night thinking FREE FOOD here.. lol

@minx267 Hahhaha my dad was able to shoo the raccoon out in the AM. There are some raccoons that wander on trash day where my fiance lives, but not his home but other houses down the street in packs of 3!

Oh wow., really, out in the afternoon? now that is unusual. What would you do if you noticed one of them acting weird?

I hope he found somewhere to go.. there is a derelict barn a couple properties over.. it could be that he lives there.

The glow from his eyes IS from the flash of the camera. it was only 5am and still kind of dark out side.

me too as the sun was coming up.. we live in the city. so I have no idea where he came from..

LOL. that has got to be funny to watch as the masked intruders go through all your stuff.. And that is an interesting tidbit about raccoons not liking tomatoes.. I would have never thunk it.. you learn something new every day!
