Any beneficial rules for the elders?

In my city the elders who are age over 60 just need to pay half price for the public transportation. And the elders who are age over 65 enjoy the free public transportation. So if the elders are healthy, they can take any buses or subways and explore this city. This is a nice rule to encourage the elders to have more outdoor activities.

Senior citizens have that benefit in transport fair, in hospital bills and even in malls. I couldn't really enumerate the complete privileges of senior citizens here. But it's actually a very just and good rule.

I know that also in the UK people over 65 have free public transports, but only outside the rush hours. Not in our country, we pay 50% of the regular fare.

Half price is great. Exploring the city would be nice. Walking not so much. Not all elders are able to .

In my area after 60 you get half price for the transport especially the bus company. Is great for those to enjoy free transport after 65 in your country.

that would be nice if our elders get the same exemption too. but as far as they know they get lots of discounts here - such as grocery and medicine purchases.
