"Can you give birth with this chair?"

I am sure you will be surprised seeing this delivery chair. I got this photo in Erotica Gallery of BenCab Museum. The birth chair was used in Mt. Province. It is made of wood. The birth chair for delivery is noticeable at the center of the room. There are other sculptured wooden arts in it. But I wouldn’t dare to share it. Most of them are obscene in appearance.

Have read about more than one yes but certainly would not have fancied using such an item in giving birth no way.

@Shavkat
It does look rather scary and I hope it was not for real.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I hope it is not. I think it is dangerous to give birth in this chair.

that is like the delivery table, because those feet are like the stirrups in modern day DR table. there was even a notion that is was better to give birth in sitting position because of the pressure of the diaphragm to the enlarged uterus.

@Shavkat hahaha! it is obvious my friend. you don't get to enter in a delivery room, right?
the delivery table has stirrups where the pregnant woman hangs her legs into it. with the 'pant and push', she should be able to deliver her infant.

I've seen a chair like this, and it looks so scary...
Maybe this was the reason why they used it for a woman to give birth... If she was too scared then she would have a quick labour....
