Gorgeous days are back again and I could not be happier! While it's too hot to keep the windows open, my a/c is working well, so I'm very comfortable and enjoying the sunshine, as well. My niece came by yesterday. We went shopping for the new kittens coming to each of our homes. She helped me choose good food and litter, food and water bowls that won't tip over, and quite a few new little toys. She assured me that my cat's bed will work for the new little one, so I'll be putting some of the toys inside of it to encourage him to check it out. She also got food for her little guy, who is coming home today, and some new toys. Oh, and I found a black and white collar with a bell (that doesn't really ring much), and two extra bells that I can hear much better. He's so tiny and I'm so afraid of not being able to find him, so a collar with a bell or two will be a huge help. That done, we came back here to relax and cool off. A long time ago, she had asked if she would be able to have a cup and saucer from a unique set my mother used to have. Each cup and saucer is unique, and so none of the others match! My niece always loved them, and since I won't be using the whole set, I told her she could have whichever ones she wanted. She chose two of them and I wrapped them up with lots of packing peanuts for her, and she was so excited! Those cups and saucers have so many memories for both of us and we were laughing while we were talking about them. She remembered more than I did about where they came from. I have a repair person coming out later in the week. I've been learning from more and more people that when they try calling me on the house phone, they get a message that it's been disconnected. When I called about it yesterday, they did find one problem, so they're sending someone out to see if it can be fixed. I really only need it for another year, until my contract ends. And then I'm cutting cords. I'll only use my cell phone, and I'll figure out internet and TV before then, too. At least people can reach me on my cell! Hope you're having a great day! Claudia
