I have just come in from walking The Dukester. I love how he walks and wants to come back to his house ... get his Oinkie ... settle down in front of the fan to chew it. I made sure all is neat (I don't have to clean up the floor ... he always 'goes' on his walks). Yesterday he pulled the blue blanket out of his 'cocoon' house ... so, I folded it neatly and placed it in front of the fan on his shavings/floor. He lays on it. Now ... in his cocoon house, he has a quilt to lay on. We took the big, black weatherproof covering off outside the cocoon house (simply a big kennel cab with blankets, comfort wrapped on the outside to help hold body heat) ... now, there's only the big, white downy comforter all around his house on the outside. Dukester loves his cocoon house ... comfort, warmth, safe. I made it for him when we rescued him in the wintertime ... so, he'd have a space to go inside all his own. I will keep changing blankets, quilts inside for him ... and always have that warm place for him to go to. He has his cedar house to go into ... there's only a quilt inside it. I call it his 'summer house'. Nothing in it to hold a lot of body heat so, it'll be cool. Dukester has had his breakfast ... that Skip prepared for him (and our other two Pups ... Kissy and Camie). Grain-free dry food and a scrambled egg. I replaced his 2 white buckets of water with 2 more white buckets of fresh water. I keep 2 white buckets of fresh water for Kissy and Camie in the house and on the porch. Yesterday ... Dukester found a snake on our walk! Thankfully it was dead ... it was a baby snake ... and probably from the pond. After I took Dukester to his house ... I walked Kissy and Camie ... I had to hurry them back to their fenced-in yard ... 3 dogs came running up the road ... barking at us! Gracious! Too much excitement for me for one evening.

Sounds like you had fun walking the dogs. I'm sure Dukester likes his homes. Good to have a choice for summer and winter.

I am though not scared of snakes I am afraid of its bite. It will be horrible to die with lot of foam in the mouth.

Yes, you are right! Here ... we have to watch where we walk especially around the pond. We live beside a swamp, also.

Baby snakes are dangerous too ... they have a lot of venom. I've seen what a snake bite can do to a person in a short time when I worked in the Emergency Room.
