A few days ago I wrote a post about the 2015 film, Lucy. For those that haven't seen it or didn't read my post it is about a young blonde who is duped into being a drug mule. The experimental drug seeps into her bloodstream and she experiences the full potential of the human brain. It was a great adventure ride.
I am excited to say that Lucy 2 is now in development. Not sure yet whether it will be a prequel or if Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role.
From a budget of 40 million on the first it grossed $458 million world wide. Of course I am sure Scarlett Johannson helped that along a bit.
If you think from a writer's standpoint there is a lot of material to make one or two more movies out of the "humans only use 10 percent of their brains" premise. Of course it is a myth but, the imagination is infinite. I will be excited to see what Marvel comes up with for Lucy 2.

Yes, one place you read that it is true and the next thing says it is a myth. So, to be safe I used the word 'myth'. It is also said that some use more than others too.

@celticeagle I've never read anything about it being a myth but I'll have to look further.

Doesn't she like evaporate into thin air at the end of the first one? That would make it hard for her to be in the second one, unless it is really a prequel?

She doesn't evaporate. She is integrated into the computers. In the second one it could be just her voice used and perhaps some visuals of her from the past. The text she sends to the cop when he asks where she is says "I am everywhere."
