Threats Solve Nothing And Actions Speak Louder!

I should stay away from politics but here I am commenting on the problem as I have been saying before. What happened yesterday is the responsibility of extreme Left rhetoric and calls for violence. In the past it has happened with the extreme Right. The problem is that people can't seem to take responsibility for their part in it. America has free speech but in recent years it has been under siege. As a result of people acting violently when someone conservative is scheduled to speak, It has been silenced and radical left behavior has been ratcheting up. The shooting yesterday shows that. It is time to work together and stop feeding the violence. For those who want to blame trump, it is not his fault that people have gone too far in the other direction just as it is not his fault that those extreme right have gone to far. The problem is with how many people in positions of leadership feed the hate. Over the past year it has been a liberal hate fest! Bottom line I don't like it when Republicans go to far and I don't like it when Democrats go too far either. Consider who has been going too far since January and realize that calling for resistance in the form of violent words is the problem. The violence perpetrated yesterday is all on the shooter BUT the Rhetoric that fed it belongs to those who support things like "blowing Up the White house" , Depicting assassination and the words of Democrats who have been flooding the airwaves with words of hate. It's time to work together not obstruct by being obstinate. What do you think?
Some Republicans point to a virulent backlash against Trump that they say has gone beyond the bounds of moderate political dissent and — subtly or not — advocates violence.

The lamestream media is aiding, abetting and fueling this. They have already swept under the rug yesterday's incident committed by one of their own and started in again on the Russians did it.

@JohnRoberts Isn't it amazing. They are focused on a story that is all conjecture and leak related ( not news) to get off the idea that we should start working together.

Personally this is like a bunch of children who will never be Happy. Did all the people who disliked Obama and his policies and treatment of people complain? No, we were mature adults. Now that a Republican won they have to constantly find fault and act like children. In reality it makes me wonder when people are ever going to accept change or have the been brainwashed to be allowed to just accept everything even when it means higher taxes, etc in the future.

It is time for EVERYONE in this country to STOP, take a step back, take a deep breath (or several), and analyze things. The Bible says, "A house divided against itself cannot stand." That was paraphrased by Abraham Lincoln and adopted as the state motto of Kentucky: "United we stand, divided we fall." Wake up, folks. We're about to fall. And there's nobody there to catch us when we do.

The powers that be have worked very hard to get us to this point and their main weapon is the media. The majority of the people who are served by that media believe nearly everything they are told, especially if it jives with their politics and their beliefs, and they will not question the bias and mis-reporting and misinformation. If some major figures from the left would work with the right and talk honestly with people, tell them how they are being manipulated, we might stop it now. But that will never happen, this whole thing will escalate and the violence will get worse until those in charge see their plans realized and the Constitution is neutered.

@dragon54u Interesting take on it. Sadly people are willing to take what they are told without considering the whole story. They often don't want to hear everything.

Both Democrats and Republicans do use rhetoric that feeds hate. Both parties need to express their views with culture and dignity.

Who is obstructing? I believe the Republicans control both chambers of Congress and have a majority on SCOTUS. It isn't the Democrats' fault that The Trump administration is a dumpster fire.

@NJChicaa I am not blaming the democrats for the problems of the Administration, However it is them who are holing up appointments, acting like spoiled brats and spewing hate speech. It is the foolishness of Political posing that is obstructing the process. Democrats have refused to be involved in the process. Having a majority does not guarantee success because independent thought plays a role in it. On the other hand if you follow blindly it happens. Obamacare is an example of following blindly.

@Berniezeitler he hasn't nominated anyone! Positions are empty because he hasn't sent nominations for most of the spots. I don't see how Democrats can be a part of the process when Republicans are writing things like the AHCA in basement rooms and not letting anyone see it or have hearings on it before a vote. Obamacare, on the other hand, was a bipartisan effort that took a year to develop after many many hearings and amendments.

@NJChicaa Obamacare was passed without reading it. There has been attempts to get Democrats involved in the bill writing process and they have refused! As for the nominations, you need your core Cabinet positions filled before the others can be dealt with. He just got the last one of them through and while you say he hasn't appointed any people for the other positions, most people will never hear about them. He has appointed many people and they are not getting hearings because of blocking by Democrats. The problem is with both parties and while I have voiced that you are focused on blaming Republicans for everything while excusing Democrats.
