There is something to be said for a crush on an actor or musician, especially when you're young. It's something that, for me at least, never seems to go away. My very first crush when I was younger than I can even remember right now, was of a very handsome and very young Richard Chamberlain in his role as Dr. Kildare. His face was the very first I put up on the wall in my bedroom (so I could swoon every morning before I went out). Even at the age of 83, he still makes my heart flutter. As for musicians, my first crush was Rick Springfield. And when he joined the cast of General Hospital, I could not be torn away from the TV screen for anything! Over the years, I've seen him join the casts of different shows. I'd thought the strangest was Californication, but just tonight I noticed that he's in Supernatural, a show I've never watched before. And a show I will probably keep an eye on, just to see this old crush of mine. Is there a crush for you out there that you just can't seem to shake? Claudia

My mother laughed at me during the whole run of The Thorn Birds because of him being a priest and me being so in love with him! lol But it was so nice seeing him for such a long time!

My very first love was Elvis (my love). And when I was a kid, I loved Ricky Nelson in the Ozzie and Harriet show, singing his first songs.

Ricky Nelson had those gorgeous eyes! I loved watching that show. And I completely understand the lure of Elvis. He had such charisma!

I have found an old book of mine, when I was still a teenager. Inside the book I have found a photo of Richard Chamberlain as Dr. Kildare. I had a serious crush for him.

When I started dating my husband 20 years ago he introduced me to country music and George Strait and he can park his boots under my bed any day any time!

Richard Chamberlain is a heart throb all right! I fell for him in Dr. Kildare. I didn't realize he was that old. Unfortunately for me all my crushes have passed. I was a huge Charlton Heston fan, and for musician - Elvis.

@CRK109 There is only one Charlton Heston movie I didn't care for - Soylent Green. That one caused me to lose my appetite. We were going out to dinner after the movie.

I also loved Charlton Heston. Not quite as much as Richard Chamberlain but enough to have watched all of his movies!

When I was eight I had a ferocious schoolgirl crush on the late Edward Mulhare, who at that time played Captain Gregg in the TV series The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. A few years ago both seasons of the TV series were put on DVD in Australia, so I ordered them for myself for my birthday (nobody else was going to! And I do own a region-free DVD player, so it doesn't matter that they were from Australia). And oh, was he still impeccably handsome to me. And he looked even better without the beard (which was fake, go figure).

I think Paul Peterson was my first crush when I was about 10 or 12. He was much the same age. I always thought he turned out well.

I liked a lot of actors at a young age but I can't remember having a crush on any of them.

Some years ago, I watched an old movie with Richard Chamberlain. I think it was a Cinderella movie - and he was breathtakingly handsome in it. Had I been around during the Elvis craze in the fifties - he would have been my heartthrob.
