Hubby Fell on His Head

Yesterday Hubby fell backward off the porch at the Templeton house. I wasn't there. Fortunately, a workman was working on the mobile home across the driveway where our tenants live. One of the young men was also home there. They were able to get Hubby off the ground and into the house so he could call me to take him to the ER. After some CT scans of his head and cervical spine, they determined he only had lots of arthritis in his neck, which he's already being treated for, and a cervical sprain. He had a lot of pain in his neck and shoulders, but it could have been so much worse. I'm so thankful he wasn't alone on the property when he fell since the only neighbors are the tenants in the mobile home. I'm thankful I didn't leave early to shop on the way to Bible study as I'd planned to or I would have missed his call. I'm thankful he's better today, and that he can sleep in spite of any pain. We may see if he is up to driving yet tomorrow. (Oop!. I guess it's already tomorrow.) We were in the ER for several hours, and I never made it to my Bible Study group, but God was with us where we were.

He's driving again now, and swam for a bit, but much less than usual.

He still has a sore shoulder, but he's back to driving and a bit of swimming.

Nothing is broken, but we won't know for sure how minor it is until he has an MRI.

Oh my that could have been so much worse. My husband made a platform to stand on while he paints the stair well. I am just so worried about him on that platform. I will be so relieved when it is done.
