Laptop Set Up

And I'm working on it at the moment. I have everything I need to make my life happy. Almost. I do still need to get a mouse. At the moment I'm sharing the one from my desktop.
It took a bit of doing to get the Google icon on my laptop, but that and the Firefox icons are in place so I can work from both. Now I just need to be aware of where the cursor is or I will have a lot of misspelled words.
There is just one thing I haven't done yet and that is set up Swagbucks so I have the button on my address bar.
Now that this is complete, I'm going to close it down, make something to eat, planning on egg salad, and work on the next manuscript I hope to publish. I also need to get some pictures uploaded to the laptop.
I hope you are all doing well. Thanks for reading.

Glad you are getting it all set up. I was looking at my notes and see where in August I will have had my Dell Laptop for three years. Hope it lasts even longer. Yours too.

Yay! I'm glad you got your laptop set up, and that you're happy with it! :D I got my wireless mouse at Walmart. I used to go to Five Below, but they kept dying too quick (but they were also $5), so I splurged on a $10. It does take batteries but at least it's not broken lol.
You just reminded me to start doing my Swagbucks more, so thanks hehe.

@just4him I always forget, as I like to at least do the search, polls and the "answer 10 questions for 2 SB" thing. I do the surveys once in a while, but gets old, esp. when I either don't qualify or have to keep answering the same questions over and over again.

@tammys85 Yeah, answering the same questions over all the time does get old. I started ordering online for points. Only for those things I need. I had points added today for the sewing machine I bought last month. It's so much easier to get points that way.

@just4him I use them on laptops, my desktop and tablets - I often end up tangling and fraying the wire - I hate wireless mice

@arthurchappell I had a wireless mouse that came with a computer I had and ended up getting a regular corded mouse. It never worked the way it was supposed to.

@DianneN I seriously doubt that. You were a teacher. I don't see teachers as whiners. I see them as brave considering the students they deal with every day. And I'm thinking of those I went to school with. I can't imagine how much worse it's gotten in 46 years.

That's a huge compliment since I don't consider myself tech savvy. For simple things I guess I am. I've never liked anything getting the best of me. I'm also not one of those kinds of people who whine and complain and wait for someone else to do it for me, no matter what it is. I've always taken the bull by the horns and taught myself what I needed to know. If I need to know it, I'll learn it one way or another.

Actually, you don't even need a mouse. You can use your finger on that little square area. You always seem so organized and satisfied.

That little mouse pad drives me insane. The cursor never goes where I want it to and then ends up changing words because it's not where it should be but in the middle of other words or heck, it's missing in action as I can't find it on the screen. No thanks. I'll use the mouse. More reliable as long as there isn't a cat around

@just4him My boyfriend needs the mouse, too. It takes me longer to use it. Yet, there was a time when I had to have the mouse.
