Instant Karma!!

After reading Susan's discussion about believing in Karma I was reminded of this happening years ago! For once in the world Karma was instant!! My workmates daughter was taking cash from a cash machine late at night on her way home from work. As the cash came out a man grabbed her from behind showed her a knife and demanded the money.. Unfortunately for the mugger this girl worked at the maximum security mental hospital as a nurse. Due to dealing with the people too insane for the normal prison system she was highly trained in self defence, restraint and disarming an assailant! The police were amazed to turn up and find a tall well built dazed thug handcuffed to a lamp post with his jeans round his ankles!! They were even more surprised that the victim who overpowered him was a slightly built 5'4 woman. Don't you just love when Karma is instant!! I reckon everyone should learn some self defence!! Sometimes Karma needs a hand!

Feels like I am watching a movie here I haven't seen a girl fighting with a man in real life. What could be more horrifying with a knife ( I would run for my life) Now it's time for me to learn basic self defense

I love karma, just does not happen enough to the bad people in my life experiences. They get away with things I never could. Maybe they just smarter. Maybe why I hate the corrupt so much. lol

She worked in a maximum security mental hospital! It's where the psychotic murderers etc are sent to when they are considered too insane for prison! She was on her way home from work at the time!

I think Karma is awesome, but in this case, instant Karma was the best! I wish I could have seen her in action! lol

I don't know about Karma, but it was a good thing she was well trained for the vocation she was in. It did her well in that case.

I think it's a great thing to learn. It's a shame they don't make It part of physical education in schools!

Good she knew to defend herself. I know self defense but don't ever want to have to use it

It's definitely a good idea to know some self defence. A few of us went to classes after hearing about this incident. I doubt I'll ever be able to do that well though!

I would have probably thrown random kicks and punches and hope that one of them landed somewhere haha!! I did take some training after hearing about this though I don't think I'd be able to do as well as she did

It actually inspired myself and 4 of my workmates to go to self defence classes! It was a student town and muggings were becoming quite common.
