We are looking for a nice outdoor table and chairs for our patio and got to see all the elaborate, gorgeous outdoor furniture that is available now. Remember the days when your parents put out a few folding chairs and a picnic table and that was great for the summer? Even the lounge chairs I used to try to get a tan on now are making an elaborate comeback. Yes, it's all about extending your living space these days but you also have to think where are you going to put it all come October? Especially for those of us who have long winters. In Canada and many areas we have to consider that because we really have to store all those chairs in the cold weather. I did get an eye opener today when I saw the couches, chairs and whole rooms of furniture at the garden shops. Different if you live in the South- You will get good use out of it all. Oh, well, I guess you could make sure you buy lots of canvas to cover it up when those winds begin to howl. And you can always put your husband out there for awhile so you can myLot for a few hours! Lol! Anyway, we didn't get our table and chairs yet and will look next week at this whole new and extensive world of life outside!

We have bought a folding table and chairs for the outdoors, so they take very little space when we have to store them.

@MarymargII They are very good and solid, they are made of wood, but they do not take a lot of place when folded.

@LadyDuck So at least now you can put them away in Wintertime.

That makes more sense than all the luxury furniture that is available these days- but I guess if you have the weather and the space and the money- why not?

Yes that's all you really need and it doesn't take up too much storage room. Unless you want an outdoor table to eat on but all that furniture is is too much in my opinion. :)

I spend a lot of time outdoors during the short summers we have so I understand the need for comfort outside. I just cover them up with tap in the winter.

Many people are buying luxury comfort furniture for the outdoors. If you use it and enjoy it, it's all worth it then/

You are right about it being a pain to store outdoor furniture. A person could have a shed dedicated to that. Same with the lovely china planters. They need to be cared for, also.

That is not remembered. I Tanikka Paulk never saw either parent pick up or look at any outdoor furniture. I'm saying That. The great outdoors huh? When keep enjoying the furniture and so much more.
