A Restful Sunday

Today I took a day and did not do much. I did have to drive 30 miles to get Tony`s wraps he eats, none of the mall stores carry them, just Walmart, and I changed and washed the sheets of both beds. I am slowly getting this place back in order, even doing the mowing and home canning. Last week and Saturday I washed blankets and put those away and I cleaned out a shelf in the deep freezer by home canning 15 jars of blackberries and 20 half pints of seedless blackberry jelly. I have also picked a couple more quarts to freeze for the next time I want/ need to home can r I can trade them for another fruit or vegetable I want. I gave in to a late evening nap and I really regret it now because I needed to move the dogs houses before rain. As soon as I got up it began to pour rain so I cooked us spaghetti for dinner, it was okay I reckon my heart was not into cooking this evening. I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday, Mine was restful.

I've been awake since 11:30 yesterday morning. That's kind of my Sunday in a nutshell.

@andriaperry - There were a couple other MyLoter's pulling all nighters and we got into a few good discussion's. I figured if I went to sleep today I would be up all night again.

I would love to make some jams. Trouble is we don't have berry bushes that I can pick the berries it takes to make the jam. Berries are expensive in the markets too. The amount of jam I personally use is cheaper to buy than to make. I hope you are able to stock up and freeze the wraps your husband likes. Have you tried ordering them online at Walmart.com and have them delivered?

I dont use much jelly either but its good for years as long as the seal is in tact. Personally I do not make many kinds because its cheaper to buy it. Just a few odd flavors or if I get strawberries free or dirt cheap. He is not my husband, but no I do not stock on those, since he has had cancer he eats strange. Once he could only keep down peanut better and jelly sandwiches, now its the turkey wraps we make here at home. Next week it could be something else. I would LOVE to stay home and I would use delivery but he is having a hard time staying at home, he wants to go, go and go. I compromise and take him for that ride that will make him hurt.

My daughter was here for Father's Day. She took us out to breakfast and then she and I did a 2.5 mile walk with her Chihuahua. Then we came back to my house and relaxed before she left.

Your restful Sunday sounds busy to me. I did nothing but watch movies yesterday and am still tired today for some reason.

We spent a nice, quiet Father's Day together. We were exhausted after our Saturday wedding and will further celebrate tomorrow.
