Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away. Now it looks as though they're here to stay, oh I believe in yesterday.
I am not a Beetles fan. However, that song is presently going through my mind as I get ready to write about yesterday.
No, there were no problems yesterday and so far none today either. Other than waiting a half hour for the lifeguard to show up at the pool this morning.
I don't know if you noticed I wasn't here yesterday, but I wasn't. I was on my computer however. I spent the major part of the day working on the next manuscript I want to publish. Right now I'm working the kinks out of the story. I think this is the longest story I've written to date. It's 725 pages and almost 200K words. So far it doesn't feel like too many words either. It's a mystery, the second one I've written. It was written back in 2010/2011. At least those are the dates used in the book, so I'm certain I wrote it back then.
The name of this manuscript is Thread of Evidence. It's about industrial sabotage in the clothing industry. It does take place on an island in the South Pacific - one that doesn't exist on any known map. The island is completely fictitious and was a lot of fun to write, needing to include the names of cities and the type of government for the island. I also don't use standard dating. The book uses the months of the Jewish calendar and the dating system as well, so I've also incorporated the calendar with the book so readers won't get lost.
Several people read the rough draft a few years ago and loved it, so that was encouraging and why I'm going with this one to publish next.
My brain is spinning on the manuscript this morning and thinking about some necessary changes as it seems to be too transparent about the who done it aspect of the book. I need to make it less transparent as to who.
That is what I will be doing today. I'm back in writing mode once again and fully enjoying the feeling. This one also gets as close to being a romance as I ever got without it being a true romance.
I hope you all, especially dads, had a great day yesterday and Happy Father's Day to all dads.
Thanks for reading.

@Jessicalynnt I worked on it all afternoon yesterday. I'm still not happy with it. I need to sort out a situation before I can move ahead with it. It makes me wonder what else I messed up with in this book, but it's still a good book or will be when I get it finished editing.

It's going to be a while. This first edit job is taking a lot of patience. I'm finding so many typos in it my head is spinning. Then I know the next edit will be almost as bad as I clarify things I'm not taking care of in this edit. And I used to think it was easy to write a book

It must be exciting for you, your words are my paintings, love making them and love selling them too. Although your art takes more time than my art. Congratulations on the book, I will look for the first one...

I love it when I get drawn into the story I'm writing. The characters become real to me and I hate to see them go when I reach the end. You'll get the kinks worked out. I have some sewing I want to do today but I hope to settle down to writing again tomorrow. I've put it off long enough.
