The circumstances are such in my household at the moment that the great responsibility of cleaning fish has fallen on my shoulders though temporary. I have never done this before and so consider it to be a complicated and a difficult job. While removing the scales they will fly all over. Can we not eat fish without cleaning? I have read somewhere some races eat the fish by baking it on live coals and then just relishing them. What about you? Have you ever cleaned fish or do you just bake it on live coals?

Neither as I dislike fish with a passion and I have a very good reason to. I will eat fish in a Restaurant but not here as the only dish I am good is Russian Fish Pie or my own Fish Cakes. I don´t mind admitting it. Some bake their fish here in salt in the Oven and they are often cheaper fish but equally as good but I don´t like fish again for a very good reason.

I remember a joke I heard it on fish. Fish is living in the water then what is the need of cleaning it? Now for the question, cleaning is very necessary and I can't even think for baking it without cleaning properly. However, I too hate the cleaning part and I am not an expert on it. Here in this place, on buying the sellers do the cleaning so there is not much works left on cleaning part at home.

Here when you buy in the market, they automatically clean the fishes right before your eyes. I love grilled fish. I dip it in soy sauce with drops of lemon and slices of Thai Chili. I eat with my hands when eating grilled fish. So yummy!

I've never caught or cleaned a fish. Hate to disappoint you, but I buy frozen fish fillets -- already cleaned -- ready to thaw and cook.

I haven't tried to clean a fish. I usually ask the fish vendor to clean it.
