My Sister: The Ding-a-Ling

The biggest procrastinator on planet Earth. She'll be late for her own funeral. She calls me at 4 pm yesterday (lunch break) to tell me she needs me to mail her a copy of her front-door house key. Several years ago, I had told her to send me one just in case anything happened and I needed to go to her place and take care of her dogs. She finally sent me one (which was a good thing since she wound up in the hospital 2 months later). Well instead of her making another key as a spare, she sent me the only other one she had. Yesterday morning she got up late and was running around like a chicken with her head cut off and wound up losing her set of keys (car, front door, back door, interior garage door). She was 3 hours late for work because of it and swears a ghost stole the keys. Seriously????? I'm sure when she hauled out the trash to put out at the curb that she had her keys in her hand and they fell into the bin along with the trash. I swear that girl is a quart short.

I'm with her. I have a ghost here to hides things from me like the art gum eraser I use as a sanding block, tubes of toothpaste, etc. Sometimes he puts them in my day pack or in my truck.

Lol! At least she has a kind sister like you to count on. The one thing I've never lost were my keys.

I locked mine in the car one time; since then, I have a squiggly cord attached to the keys. So when the key comes out of the ignition, it immediately goes around my upper arm @DianneN .

@nanette64 Good thinking! Our cars have a keyless lock and ignition, but we must have the key in a purse or pocket.

I misplace stuff all the time and I can't blame a ghost, unfortunately. Luckily, as I go crazy looking for the item, keys included, I'll calm myself down by saying "it'll turn up," and 99% of the time it does! Rushing around causes many things to mysteriously disappear?

Oh dear, it is so annoying when you lose your keys but at least you are a good sister and have a copy. I think if I was you I would have a copy made to send her and keep the original. lol

Did she at least dump out the trash to see if the keys were in there? I think that you could say she is scatter-brained. Hope she can get it together before anything else happens.

Did you make another copy to send to her, or how did you handle it?
