Lately I downloaded an app called ZazaRemote. You can take advantage of the infrared from your mobile phone and then it works like a mutiple remote controlers. Now I can use my mobile phone to remote control the air-conditioners and TV and that's cool

I don't want uploading apps like that because it might make my phone run slow. I only gets Those apps so important and useful to me because I don't have it. But as to remote, I don't need it because we already have those.

@Shavkat The distance can't be so far. After all, it is not the normal remote control yet.

I think that we are complicating our life. Why should I install plenty of app and take with me the phone all the time, when I have the appropriate remote controllers exactly where I need them?

@youless I see, I am not against new technology, but I prefer many times to use things as they were originally designed for.

That is really an advantage for you. In our home the remote control is already damaged and got another one which is also not working properly. The younger son is very naughty and he open it and see the parts, lol

In fact we can buy a remote control easily if ours doesn't work. It is not expensive. I use my phone as the remote control for fun mainly
