The sunset last night - amazing!

With the living room windows facing west it was hard to miss the sunset last night. This photo was taken at 9:15 pm. I have taken photos of sunsets and they don't always come out. This one did, but it still didn't capture all the beauty.
I guess it was the sun's way of saying, tomorrow (today) is the first day of summer let's celebrate! It went on for well over 20 minutes as the red color deepened and eventually it all went black.

@AbbyGreenhill I went outside to water the garden after the sun went down, I forgot to spray OFF on my arms and legs, the mosquitoes had a feast.

We are at the tail end of the eastern zone, so our sun rise is later and sun sets are later.

Very nice and on this first day of Summer, it could very well rain. There is a 50 percent chance of rain today around here.

We do't get many there are lots of mountains west of us - the Cumberland Plateau which hids lots of stuff from our view. But that's probably where the color was coming from.

What a beautiful picture. I used to live in Rhode Island and my back porch faced the ocean. I saw many a beautiful sunrise and sunset there. I only wish I had taken pictures.

We don't see sunrise here due to the mountain in the back...but once in a while we get a nice sunset.
