The fog has finally cleared up and I have a beautiful view of the river. It's amazing. Well it's the first day of summer and this is not at all how I planned to spend it. There be no camping or swimming for me this summer. I will be off work until at least September or October. It's going to be a struggle financially but we will get through it.
They told me surgery would be Monday or Tuesday. That is all I know. It's a waiting game. My boss is coming to visit me sometime today and my fiance is on his way over now. He should be here soon.
My children and grandchildren will be in sometime this evening. So I should have a good day. I cried for a while when I woke this morning but I am doing better now.
Hope you are all doing well today.

It can't be fun spending your days in the hospital waiting for surgery. I'm sure all your visitors will perk you up a bit and I'm sending you a whole bunch of hugs

I am glad they set a day or at least around when it will be done.
So now you`ll get to have another adventure, besides working daily and camping, How to take care of Laurel and its going to be fun, painful at first but they have really good pills for that and then before ya know it you will NOT want to go to work even on Tuesday! Or get out with deet sprayed all over you just to smell wood burning.
A new adventure, And we will take it with you, if ya want

Aw dear Laurel. I know this is sad too for you as you love the outdoors and nature and now stuck in there.
I am glad that people are around you however.
Nice of your boss to come visit you there today as well.
Okay so Monday or Tuesday..not long now and you will be all done with that part of it.
I will do the vigil for you as well..just waiting to hear the exact day..yes it is a waiting game with the surgeons I know.
It is very hot here today 100F! And I have an appt I have to walk to..but have my trusty umbrella for shade.

No one wants to spend time in a hospital, but it does seem like you are in a nice one.
Yes, it might be a financial struggle, but you can do this @Happy2BeMe

These dratted health complications sure mess up our fun. I am glad they will be working to repair your issues, though. Sometimes we just need to shed a few tears.

it is good because you can have the surgery without paying anything from the hospital bills to the doctors' professional fees.
here, we have to have money to have an operation. my cardiologist actually suggested me an operation to change the mitral valve of my heart. a classmate of my kid brother who is a heart surgeon told my brother that we have to shell out half a million pesos for the surgery. that is why i am religiously taking my medicines so my heart will be within its normal rate and rhythm.
