Do you cut your own hair?

I know it is difficult to cut hair for yourself. But I think it is still alright for me to use a scissors to have a little haircut for my fringe. And therefore I don't have to go to the hair salon so often. How about you?

I do my own hair or my son does it Youless. You know I was a hairdresser anyway and my son the same, also was a hairdresser/barber. It is okay to do it at home if you can manage it of course why not. Why pay if one can do it yourself.

@youless haha. Better if you do it yourself then. I guess if you have short hair it is easier

I'll cut my hair as well. Not always the easiest thing to do, but I manage. It works pretty well for me.

I cut my own hair since the year 1999. It has been very hard in the beginning, now I have the habit. All I need is good scissors and three mirrors places in a way I can see the back and the sides of my head.

i used to cut the fringes of my hair, but sometimes too, the cut is not straight, so i get away with the cutting and go to the salon.

@youless so you prefer your fringes to be not straight? as long as it looks good on you, i think that is understandable.

I have never cut my own hair. My sister normally does it because she took classes for it. I have had my mother do just some trimming for me.

@youless Thank you. I like myself with long hair as well. It is naturally curly so the long hair just works better when I decided to not fix or do anything to it in the mornings.

I started to cut my own hair since last year or two years ago. I never think it‘s possible. I have read some members cutting their own hair, and I do not like to go saloon. Since I have been cutting hair for my children, then my husband, I just gave it a try. Though it's not perfect, I am happy with the hair I cut since I am not a trendy person, I am fine with a very simple haircut. That was when I had short hair. Now that I keep my hair long, I have not try to cut it yet. I will gotta go YouTube and search how to cut long hair by yourself.

No, I do not cut my own hair. I would probably do a very bad job. I need someone to cut it for me so they can see the whole head of hair.

@youless Yes, though in my case I have a disability that causes extreme anxiety when other people are in close proximity to me. Fortunately, though, there are now YouTube videos to help out the do-it-yourselfers.

I personally do not cut my own hair. I have not had mine cut in many yrs even though it looks thinner etc to being Diabetic and loosing a lot of it. But I do cut my husbands from time to time when it needs it, as it is a lot cheaper.

If the result is not good, you can still ask a hair dresser to fix it
