The Boys Came By Last Night

As you may know, we have been roasting in the heat and humidity since our air conditioners were in the attic. Al wanted to take them down himself which I told him in no uncertain terms he was not allowed to do. He is still pretty strong but we have a pull-down ladder for the attic and it is precarious without a heavy AC in your hands.
Alex and Brandon came by last evening to help take the cover off the pool and while they were here they installed all four AC units. It is a glorious day today, we don't have any of them on but if we need them, we have them.
I offered to take them out to dinner but Alex was tired, he is watching his diet and had to get home to walk on the treadmill. I forced Brandon to take some money from us, Alex absolutely refused, he has a full-time job and doesn't need money, Brandon doesn't have a job and was easier to coerce. They really are the best grandsons ever.
We will be comfortable for the whole summer now no matter what weather we get.

lol It would be if I never had to go out into the rest of the world, I hate going in and out of the AC, it makes me feel sick.

I's good to have a choice for when you really need it. I had one and gave it away as I like to endure the heat for the few days when it might get unbearable.

lol Well Montreal is a lot cooler overall than Connecticut. We have already had 4 days over 90 degrees with high humidity

The humidity is back, it will be 87F 30.55C so we will have to use the AC to stay comfortable.

@BelleStarr We are under a heat wave, it is 97 F (36 C) today here. I am glad this only happens a few times and not every year. The rain will come tomorrow and we will be able to breath again.

that is great. you have the AC to keep you cool. for us here, we are already accustomed to the hot climate and i can cool myself with the fan, drink cold water, and wear loose clothing.

A pool is very expensive to maintain, we have already spent over $100 for shock which is almost $6 a bad and it takes 3 bags every 12 hours for several days to get the pool ready and then clarifier and then it will be the chlorine tabs. Not to mention the filter upkeep. But when it is clear and clean it is fun to use.
