Coming in at # 2 on my favorite summer time songs series is Bryan Adams, big hit Summer of 69, it's always been a favorite song of mine and, takes me back to the old summer days, fishing and, swimming down at the river. I really miss that place immensely, it was also a # 5 hit on the Billboard hot 100. Check out a sample of the lyrics below. I think you will like them. I got my first real six string, bought it at the five and, dime. Played it till my fingers bled, it was the summer of 69. Me and, some guys from school, had a band and, we tried really hard. Jimmy quit, Jody got married, should have known we'd never get far. Oh when I look back now, that summer seemed to last forever. And, if I had the choice. Yeah, I'd always wanna be there. Those were the best days of my life. Some information verified at Wikipedia, also check out Scott's series, better known to some by Team Freak, he's got a good one going.

Hahaha we once got kicked out of a bar for singing this on karaoke!! To be fair we had changed the lyrics a little to include a few regulars and the manager from the bar!!

A very popular song with my high-school graduating class of 1969. Came at the right time. I am old.

@TRBRocks420 It was that song and "Brown-Eyed Girl" that were all the rage. Did you do "Brown-Eyed Girl?" I remember all the guys in school checking to see if the girls had brown eyes due to that song. I did, and still do.

@Corbin5 It's a great song, but not in this series now, maybe if i do a series about eyes, the bluest eyes in Texas is a good one too.

I used to play a lot of his songs on the radio back in the 80's, but this was a little heavy for our format.

Maybe I heard this one too much, but I didn't like it as much as "Cuts Like a Knife." It's still a good song, though.
