"Cloudy every morning Sun don't never shine" The 125th album is the only album released by The Chicago Transit Authority. Because of legal hassles with the actual CTA, the dozens of albums released after this would find the band simply called 'Chicago'. Chicago would never again rock quite as hard as they did on this album - in fact, one song (Free Form Guitar) is often mistaken as something by Jimi Hendrix when played for people that don't know who they are listening to. Turn it up...and rip the knob off... The Chicago Transit Authority

Is this album rare? Collector's item?

This is a Rhino 180 gram repress (I actually have 3 copies of this, an original press and a mid 70's reissue)...it was a double-platinum album for the band so it's not really rare or anything.

One of the best concerts I had ever seen was Chicago at the Turning Stone in NY.

@JolietJake No I didn't JJ. No cable now..maybe there will be bits of it on YouTube. When I saw them though they more than ticked me off as they were 2 hours late..but it was worth it.

I pretty much stopped listening to them after Terry Kath (lead guitar) killed himself, but the first several albums are in my collection

@JolietJake that's very sad that he killed himself.

Like "Four Walls" said, without lead guitarist Terry Kath they literally lost that rock edge to their music.

I was reading a review earlier that summed it up with them turning into a wedding band

Sad that there are often legal issues that will change things and often, not in a good way.
